Why I Skip Classes...

Sometimes I skip class.
Ok, I skip class a lot.
I have to. I can’t sit for an hour and ½ with my spirit being bottled up…I’m afraid one day I might just jump out of my chair and sing at the top of my lungs and dance on the stairs…

My heart has been getting heavy so often…huge decisions, huge burdens, huge questions…
The only way for me to get it out is to be with Jesus…

Sit and listen to a man who doesn’t know an English word speak for almost 2 hours or go sit and listen to the one who knows where you’ve been and where you’re going…the latter.

I’m living for things bigger than this. Bigger than my classes, and much bigger than my grades…Yes, I am here to get an education and those things will matter in life and do matter to me….but they don’t matter that much.

The crazy thing is when I skip class and spend time with the lord-I get so blessed. Blessed in the time that I spend with him and blessed when I go back to my class and see how good my grade is and how I didn’t miss a thing.

So I sit here in the library…I am here to do work, and I find myself in tears…not over my papers but over the things on my heart…but that’s a different blog…;]

So I know I am supposed to be here in college and do my work, and go to class, etc. but honestly…that’s not why I’m here and that’s not what will help me the most in the future…trust me on that one…He told me.

Now I am off to Hartwell to dance this off...
